Can I accept Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes — every current Velocity terminal and POS accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other contactless mobile wallets out of the box, because they all use the same tap-to-pay (NFC) technology as contactless cards. There's no extra setup or fee to turn them on.

Mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay run on the same NFC “tap-to-pay” technology as contactless cards. If your hardware accepts a tapped card, it accepts phone and smartwatch payments too.

All of Velocity's current hardware — Clover, Dejavoo, SwipeSimple, Genius and more — is NFC-enabled, so mobile wallets work automatically with no extra cost or configuration.

They're also more secure for you: wallet payments are tokenized, so the real card number is never shared. Offering them speeds up checkout and meets what younger customers now expect.
